Configurable Product Details Modal

Tenants with the Product domain enabled can now control which Product Categories appear in the Product Details modal on the Entity Profile Page, and the order in which they appear. Product is available as an Entity Type within Entity Profile Configuration, alongside the existing Legal Entity Types. Previously the modal displayed a fixed category order that could not be changed.

A configurator selects the Product Categories to display and orders them by dragging, or leaves the "Order Alphabetically" toggle applied. Where a selected category contains a data group, the data group renders at that category's configured position rather than at the bottom of the modal. The configured order applies whether the modal is opened from the Product tab, the Managed Products tab, or the Underlying Principals tab.

Product Categories with no data to display for the product being viewed are hidden from the modal, as are categories where every requirement is hidden from the user by Product Field Level access layers. No empty placeholder is shown in either case.

As on the Data tab, the modal interprets requirements using the Product Requirement Set versions captured on the verified product record. Category selection is applied on top of this, so a category that is not selected will not display data — and a data requirement moved to a different category in a newer Product Requirement Set version will not display under that new category until the product has been re-verified. We therefore recommend selecting all Product Categories that contain, or have previously contained, data of value. Because empty categories are hidden, doing so carries no display cost.

This configuration is opt-in. Tenants that do not apply it continue to see the Product Details modal as it appears today, and a configured tenant can revert to that default by saving a configuration containing no categories. Configuration is governed by the existing Legal Entity Profile Configuration Access and Edit permissions, and is included in Configuration Exchange under the existing "Feature Settings" Domain Filter.
