Data Protection supports our customers in regulatory compliance (for example GDPR and CCPA) by allowing tenants to define data retention periods by geography/jurisdiction and to offboard jurisdictions or the client, preparing for their future deletion.
📄️ Deleting Data
After an Offboarding event, the system records data retention details for the Jurisdictions that were offboarded. The entity then becomes eligible for Data Deletion in those Jurisdictions.

Will from Fenergo’s product team walks through data deletion. He explains the suite of APIs that allow checking for entities with a data retention date that is today or in the past, triggering a data deletion journey, and deleting the data itself. He also discusses the three new tasks that allow configuring a data deletion journey. He then demonstrates how to use Postman to interact with their APIs and trigger a data deletion journey. He concludes by discussing what happens to products associated with an entity when it’s deleted.

Entity Checks provide a way to identify entities within the system that meet very specific (configurable) criteria and a process managed on the system to take specific actions in order to manage these entities.
